What is PM 2.5 and PM 10?
The video explains basic details of Particulate Matter 2.5 and 10. Measuring Units of Pm2.5 and PM 10. And also share knowledge about its health impact basis on the concentration levels.
Fine particulate matter or Suspended particulate matter PM2.5 is an air pollutant as aerosol that is a concern for people's health when concentration in air goes high. PM2.5 and PM10 are tiny particles in the air that reduce visibility and also cause severe health issues is exposed to longer duration like allergies, cardiac arrest, chocking in lunges and many more. As per NAAQS of India, the safe limits for PM 2.5 are below 50 microgram / meter cube and 100 microgram / meter cube for PM10. The Categorization of severity levels as per health impact are in detail is also given in NAASQ (national ambient air quality standard)
