This is a first for us! We are dipping our toe into the world of melt and pour soap! We have never used melt and pour soap before, but it is really easy to work with and it is great for creating embeds.
We are using the melt and pour to create some Amethyst Geode inspired embeds, dusted with silver mica. We are then going to incorporate these geodes on to the top of a Lavender scented, cold process soap.
We are using the Tiger Stripe swirl design in our cold process soap in shades of black, purple and silver/white. This video will show you the technique that we have used and will guide you through the recipe and process, should you wish to have your own go at creating this geode soap design.
Follow our cold process recipe and tutorial for details on how you can make this at home!
Our soaps are all palm oil free and this one is vegan friendly too.
The ingredients we used for this soap are as follows:
Water 220g
Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) 109g
Olive Oil 340g
Coconut Oil 184g
Shea Butter 75g
Cocoa Butter 36g
Castor Oil 57g
Sweet Almond Oil 99g
1 tbsp Activated Charcoal Powder
1/4 tsp Purple mica powder
1/4 tsp Silver Mica powder
A pinch of silver eco-glitter
Melt & pour base coloured with purple mica and dusted with silver mica
