Magical ‘Chveneburebi’ is a traditional folk group from the land of mystic Georgia. The repertoire of Chveneburebi concerts harmonizes pure Georgian folk and ethnomusical compositions. The band is on a constant pursuit to discover old –lost Georgian folk songs and reviving them to people; also they are working on archiving them. Being an audience of Chveneburebi concert stirs a pure form of emotion that only comes from music. They mesmerized the audience on the opening day of the fifth edition of ‘Dhaka International FolkFest’ with their mind blowing Georgian melody. The combination of traditional and modern instruments in their music made everyone spellbound.
An initiative of Sun Foundation; ‘Dhaka International FolkFest’ is a celebration of sheer musical brilliance where myriads of folk artistes from home and abroad perform on a single platform.
জর্জিয়ান ফোক ব্যান্ড শেভেনেবুরেবি যাত্রা শুরু করে ২০০১ সালে। শেকড়সন্ধানী গান দিয়ে অল্প সময়েই ইউরোপ ও এশিয়ার বড় বড় মঞ্চে গান করার সুযোগ পেয়েছে তারা। শেভেনেবুরেবি’র অসাধারণ পরিবেশনায় মেতে উঠেছিল ‘ঢাকা ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ফোকফেস্ট ২০১৯’-এর প্রথম দিন।
সান ফাউন্ডেশনের উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত ‘ঢাকা ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ফোকফেস্ট’ লোকসংগীতের এক মিলনমেলা। এ উৎসবে বিশ্বের নানা প্রান্তের লোকসংগীত শিল্পীদের পরিবেশনায় অসাধারণ সব লোকগান শোনার সুযোগ পায় বাংলাদেশের মানুষ।
