"What do you get when you combine one of America's most underrated progressive house producers with the songwriter of the moment?
Apparently an infectious neuro-chemical confessional that showcases both Audien's studio strengths and Matthew Koma's proven ear for radio-ready refrains. The 22-year-old producer's Spinnin' debut finds him striking a more festival-friendly tone with a twisted acid bass drop complementing trademark melodies and uplifting chords.
"With Serotonin, I wanted to challenge myself and my audience by emulsifying some unexpected production elements with my signature sound," says Audien. "I'm indebted to Matthew for taking the track to the next level with his delightfully seductive words and voice."

Koma says the single took shape during a New York City songwriting session after hearing one of Audien's instrumental ideas.
"I had the idea for a song called 'Serotonin' for a while -- sort of based on a relationship I was in that so obviously had an expiration date, but was also so chemically charged that I couldn't help but blindly chase the high," says Koma. "I hadn't found the right inspiration to finish the idea and I remember feeling really buzzed by the drama of Nate's progression and his arrangement ideas as soon as I heard it. It was sophisticated, but there was something manic about it that I loved. I came back to that 'Serotonin' idea and it felt like the right marriage, emotionally, to where the music was coming from."
Audien & Matthew Koma's "Serotonin" will be available on June 16 through Spinnin' Records."
