Hello everyone and thanks for tuning in to today's ten day forecast video update. We're going to look at the weather for the next ten to fourteen days. Day ten will take us to 15th February - and we'll be able to extend out beyond that with the extended and ECM ensembles (they run to around a couple of weeks) We'll have a look at the CFS V2 taking is to the beginning of March.
The weather will be turning colder through the next couple of days. Low pressure will be heading in from off the Atlantic later this week with most models keeping the low on a more southerly track which maintains cold weather through the weekend into the start of next week, though todays GFS model runs have the low much further north and don't deliver any real cold weather this week or this weekend.Looking ahead towards mid-February there's lots of uncertainty today about the prospect of a prolonged cold spell...
