Adapters are great for when you need to connect to an existing cable like on a projector or monitor at a temporary location. For use one your desk at home I recommend getting the cable wit the right connectors on each end as that is fat better than having the large adapter end hanging two inches off your Mac.
For whatever reason, the video on the mono price cables has the least amount of views but these are. The best option for people that want to connect theirMac at home.
