(1 Mar 2022) CHRISTELLE KOCHER PRESENTS AT PARIS FASHION WEEK
Elevated streetwear master Christelle Kocher delivered a fall-winter collection oozing femininity and comfort during Paris Fashion week this Tuesday (1 MARCH 2022).
Kocher's brand Koché played on her graceful cool aesthetics, mixing a ruffled tule skirt with oversized knitwear or pairing a silky high-collar soft pink slip with arm-length black leather gloves.
"It was a moment to celebrate couture but in a different aspect: bringing softness, bringing this element of comfort with lot's of knitwear, a lot of jersey mixed with this chiffon. Refinement but couture, but also with a certain idea of comfort and poetry."
Kocher of design house Koché, champions diversity, proudly showing a much larger count of non-caucasian models.
"Our casting was very diverse, very optimistic," said Kocher.
The French designer wore a blue and yellow flower brooch to support Ukraine. She shared that one of her staff member is from Ukraine and that she had been "speechless" by the situation over there.
"We are speechless but we can be standing together because that's very, you know, sad, and horrifying. It's this moment when the dark days come that it's also important to stand together."
