The indigenous peoples of North America did not view sexual behavior as a factor that contributed to wrongdoing in their society. It was the writings of Jesuit priests who lived among the Wendat Huron that gave their forefathers recognition in Europe. These priests were among the first Europeans to write about the Wendat Huron. The Wendat Huron are a Native American group that has descendants living in four different villages across the continent of North America.
