None of the Above, A Voter’s Right to Refuse Voting for Political Parties
Do you know what is NOTA or None of the above? It is the voter’s right to refuse to vote for any candidate that is contesting the polls.
NOTA was first introduced in India in 2013 after a ruling by the Supreme Court. NOTA has been used several times in assembly elections.
Each NOTA vote is counted but is considered invalid by the Election Commission of India.
