Joe Miller - At Fort Monroe, I cant remember the exact number, but they occupy more than 20 different buildings, here they will occupy two. Having their staff in two primary locations will be a big advantage in a lot of ways. That will make them more efficient, more effective and hopefully will allow them to collaborate more effectively in their work.
For Fort Eustis the construction of the new TRADOC building means another thing.

Patrick Bloodgood The Army Training and Doctrine Command facility is being built on what use to be ball fields here at Fort Eustis, once complete more than 12,000 employees will work out of this space.
The new headquarters building is more than 267,000 square feet and five stories tall. It will also be a definitive upgrade to what the organization is currently in.
Joe Miller The existing buildings at Fort Monroe were built primarily in an era before air-conditioning and some of them were built when heat was provided by coal fired boilers, and in this new modern office area it will be a real eye opening for most of the people who come here.
TRADOCs new headquarters building is being built as part of the Base Realignment and Closure 05 process and should be complete in the Spring of 2011.
