We're coming off of a hot end to the weekend, but the late-season heat is just getting started.
3News meteorologist Anthony Copeland says we have dangerous heat on the way in Northeast Ohio, and even a threat for severe storms.
Here's What you need to know for our Weather Impact ALERT on Tuesday:
When: Tuesday until 8 p.m.
Impact: Temperatures will be in the 90s with heat indexes north of 100 degrees in some areas. Additional chances of severe thunderstorms with wind and hail in the afternoon and evening.
While most of the region will be hot overall, a specific heat advisory will be in place from noon-8 p.m. for the following counties:
Ashland
Erie
Huron
Lorain
Richland
Need: Have a plan to prevent heat exhaustion. Be prepared to seek shelter, if necessary, and stay notified.
