Mental health fatigue is a condition triggered by prolonged cognitive activity and it has existed prior to the pandemic. In light of the pandemic, and the extra challenges this brings to the workforce, Marshall E-Learning have launched a CPD certified course to raise awareness of mental health fatigue.
A combination of worries about Covid-19, lockdowns, working from home, home schooling, financial and health concerns as well as gyms and leisure services currently closed, it means mental health fatigue is a real issue.
This video clip from our course tackles the issue of recoginising stress in the workplace.
Mental health is a crucial aspect of our overall well-being. If you've experienced low mood or high anxiety for extended periods, it's likely that these episodes impacted your daily functioning. Don't wait until it reaches a diagnostic level - there are various levels of subjective distress that can affect our daily lives. By being aware of our emotions and recognizing when they signal distress, we can make changes within ourselves or our environment to improve our mental health.

Think about times in your life when you've experienced sustained continuous periods of low mood or periods of high anxiety. We used to be able to function during those episodes. Would you say that the levels of distress significantly impacted your ability to function at work or at home? Well, the answer to this is yes. You may have met the criteria for a diagnosis at that time. But an important point to consider here is why wait for it to reach that point? There are many levels of subjective distress that we can endure before our ability to function is affected. So we can recognise when our emotions are communicating distress, then we are more likely to be able to change something. Either within ourselves or within our environment.
