Mayor Eric Adams is cutting funding for New York City’s Crime Victim Assistance Program by $3 million in the 2025 budget after responding to calls to restore funding to schools, libraries, and public institutions.
Liz Roberts, the CEO of the crime victim assistance program Safe Horizon, says the cuts could leave almost 11,000 New Yorkers at risk.
