You may not think about it much, but certain foods do help you with producing hormones. For us guys, it is important that our body is producing free testosterone. That is why I am going to give you the 3 best foods that lower SHBG and boost free testosterone. There are 2 ways to measure your testosterone, total and free testosterone. It is the free testosterone that is most critical. Typically, when you increase your overall testosterone, your free testosterone should be increasing as well. There is something called Sex Hormone Binding Globulin or SHBG. This hormone does exactly what it says and grabs onto 98% of your total testosterone. That 98% of total testosterone is considered Bio-Unavailable, which means your body can’t do anything with it. The remaining 2% of free testosterone is what does all the work in your body.
