CAPHC's Patient Safety Collaborative is very excited to start this year's webinar series off with a presentation on improving medication compliance. Although medication adherence is a concern for all ages, this presentation will focus on adolescents.
Dr. Natalie Dayneka, a pharmacist at Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, will introduce the topic of medication adherence as a safety concern. The objectives of the presentation are:
To explore the barriers raised that impede adolescent adherence to life-sustaining chronic medications
To share possible strategies which may augment adolescent medication adherence
To debate the advantages and disadvantages of adherence tools employed to affect medication adherence in the adolescent population
