This kit was Hasegawa's Bf 109G-2 "Finnish Air Force" boxing, which didn´t come without the clear and resin parts provided by Hasegawa to make a proper G-2. To remedy that, I used the parts provided by Eduard on their Bf 109G-14 and glued them to the Hasegawa kit. The wheels fitted OK, but the clear parts are narrower than the cockpit sill, plus they're a bit taller than the sorrounding fuselage.
Crosses came from an Aeromaster sheet for foreign 109Gs, and the other insignia came from an Eduard Bf 109G-2 "Profipack" decal sheet.
Regarding ease of assembly, I'd say the Eduard 1:48 Bf 109G is the easier of the two.
Songs used: "Me 109 lied", "Flieger sind Sieger."
