On Tuesday 14th of July, Dublin's revered five-piece Fontaines D.C. played a blistering set live from Kilmainham Gaol as part of #Courage2020.
Since then their iconic Courage performances the band have been nominated for a Grammy in the Best Rock Album category for their second LP 'A Hero's Death'.
About Kilmainham Gaol:
Kilmainham Gaol is one of the largest unoccupied gaols in Europe. It opened in 1796 as the new county gaol for Dublin and finally shut its doors as such in 1924. During that period it witnessed some of the most heroic and tragic events in Ireland's emergence as a modern nation.

Performances from Courage were being broadcast worldwide, free of charge, thanks to the support of the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, the Office of Public Works, IMRO and RTÉ.
