Three teams have won the African Nations championship in its history and that could change after DR Congo beat Guinea to reach their second final. The Leopard fans, many of whom had made the almost three hour journey to the Rwandese capital for the semifinal, couldn't contain their joy after the team edged out debutants Guinea 5-4 on post-match penalties. The match had ended 1-1 after extra time. DRC won the inaugural edition of the tournament aimed at locally based football players in 2009. They will face either Mali or Cote d'Ivoire in the final.
