Should you tip at an all-inclusive resort? It's a common question for travellers who are new to all-inclusive vacations and here are my tips on tipping at an all-inclusive.

Your package includes gratuities so you don't have to feel overly obligated to tip everyone all the time. You will, however, find that the majority of people at the resort will tip a little bit here and there, especially if they've had great service.
You can take USD or Mexican Pesos and the hotel staff is grateful for tips in either currency.
When I go I usually just take Pesos as I don't usually leave the resort, but if you plan on leaving the resort to do shopping at any of the markets in Cabo I'd take some USD along as well. The prices there are usually in USD and if you ask for the conversion it usually works out in the vendor's favour.
Here are some recommendations if you feel like tipping. Feel free to adjust accordingly for yourself. You will find you will get the same great service whether you are tipping or not.
Pool wait staff - $1.00 USD or 20 Mexican Pesos when they come around with your order. You don't need to tip every time if you don't want to or if you just have a larger bill you can just give them something at the end of the day if you like. You will typically have the same waiter all day poolside.
Restaurant Servers - Breakfast $2-$4 (20-40 Mexican Pesos) Lunch, $2-$4 (20-40 Mexican Pesos) & Dinner $5-15 (100-400 Pesos).
Housekeeping - I usually put $10 or $150-200 pesos on the pillow for the housekeeper a few times throughout the week. Sometimes you may get a different housekeeper so I like to split it up. Or, if you happen to see them in the hall before making up your room you can always slip them a little something there.
