The Trolltunga hike is dubbed as one of the most amazing hike in the world and we couldn't agree more! The long and strenuous hike was rewarded with a stunning view of the tongue amid a backdrop of bright blue lake and snow capped mountainscape. Check out how it is like to walk this 28-km return trip.
Some tips and practical information:
-Trail start location: the traditional starting point is at P2 Skjeggedal ([ Ссылка ]), but you can also skip the first 4-km of asphalt road by taking the shuttle bus to P3 Mågelitopp ([ Ссылка ])

-There are 3 parking options: 1)P1 Tyssedal, NOK 300 per car (location: [ Ссылка ]); 2)P2 Skjeggedal, NOK 500 per car (location: [ Ссылка ]); 3)P3 Mågelitopp, NOK 600 per car (location: [ Ссылка ])
-There are shuttle buses available from the town of Odda, and also from P1 and P2, to the trail head at P3 Mågelitopp and all information can be found in Trolltunga's official website ([ Ссылка ])
-At P2 Skjeggedal there are some kiosks where you can get some refreshments
-There is also a cabin that you can stay in or camp at P2 Skjeggedal ([ Ссылка ])
-There is no official place to overnight at Trolltunga area, but you can always do wild camping and there are plenty of water source (river, waterfall, lake)
-The best place to stay in the area before tackling the hike would be in the town of Odda, although Tyssedal or Eitrheim would be good alternatives
-This is a very long hike that will take the entire day so bring enough food and a bottle of water for refill
-Start your hike as early as possible if you're not planning to spend the night in the wild; there is also a warning on the way to tell you to return if you don't reach a certain point by a certain time
