Naive Tc cells get activate and differentiate into CTLs. Naïve Tc cell are not able to kill target cell. CTLs are generated by immune activation of Tc cell. CTLs have lytic capability and are critical in the recognition and elimination of altered self-cells. Here we are discussing about 3 signals needed for the activation of Tc cells and also 2 mechanisms of CTLs mediated Killing. The two pathways of Killing are Fas Killing pathway and Perforin/granzyme pathway.
