Autoimmune diseases are conditions where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks its own cells and tissues. They have been on the rise for many years, and there are several factors that may contribute to this increase.

One of the factors is the overgrowth of a type of yeast called Candida. Antibiotic use and high consumption of carbohydrates, especially wheat-based products, have been linked to the increase in autoimmune diseases.
