However, instead of ditching him, the woman reportedly intends to visit him in prison.Venables’ girlfriend is reported to have stood by him even after having been with him as police discovered his nearly 1,200 child abuse images on a hidden laptop at his house last November.A source told The Sun on Sunday: “There is nothing to stop Venables dating, but when the relationship became serious officials had a duty to inform the woman about his past.“That included full disclosure about his criminal history, including his role in murdering James Bulger.
“She must be the only woman in the world who’s blissfully happy to be dating the devil.”Venables also had downloaded a 20-page so-called paedophile’s handbook and later admitted to using the dark web “for quite some time”.The pair were in a relationship while Venables trawled through the dark web last July despite being banned from using the internet.There is no suggestion that his girlfriend knew of his despicable activities.
Whilst it is unknown where Venables met the woman, it is understood that he was introduced to her using a second new name given in 2013.It is not known if the woman knew of Venables’ past at the point she was asked to move in with him.James Bukger was snatched by Jon Venables and Robert Thompson outside of a butcher’s shop in Bootle after his mother briefly went inside in 1993.
The pair then sexually abused and tortured James and the infant’s body was found mutilated on a railway line in Walton, Liverpool, two days later.They were found guilty of murder in November 1993 and were imprisoned until 2001, when they turned 18-years-old.Both Venables and Thompson were given taxpayer-funded new identities on release.
