Collaborate is a fund to support the development of collaborative research projects between the cultural sector and academic researchers.
We will support around 15 projects and funding awards will range from £5K – £20K.
Successful projects will contribute to deeper understanding of the differences arts, culture, heritage and screen makes to people’s lives, and the range of research methodologies used to explore cultural value.
We'll be opening the second round of Collaborate funding shortly by welcoming cultural sector applicants to submit an Expression of Interest. Applications will be open from 17 October to 25 November 2022.
Once the 10 strongest project proposals have been selected by an expert panel, academics will be invited to submit an Expression of Interest in working on these projects and co-developing a research plan and project funding application. This process will begin in January 2023.
Hear from Becky Parnell from Manchester Camerata and Dr Michelle Phillips from Royal Northern College of Music about their experiences of the Collaborate pilot project and why to apply.
