GitHub Pages allows you to host a static website. This doesn't happen by default. Once your project/repository is on github.com you'll need to go to settings for that repository and choose "Pages" from the lefthand side. Where you have the choice to choose "Branch", choose either master or main, then hit save. It will take about 5 minutes for your site to go live so be patient.
