The Fluke 113 True RMS Utility Multimeter is a digital multimeter (commonly known as a multitester) that can measure AC and DC voltages up to 600 volts, resistance up to 60 kiloohms, and capacitance up to 9,999 microfarads. The metre contains a diode check for checking general-purpose germanium, silicon, and power diodes, as well as a continuity beeper that turns on at less than 25 ohms and off at 250 ohms to give audible resistance detection. It may also check for voltage and continuity at the same time.
What makes this product a smarter choice?
Number 1. When measuring linear or nonlinear loads with a sinusoidal or non-sinusoidal waveform, this true RMS metre gives accurate readings. It also features manual and auto-ranging functions for user convenience. Signal fluctuations are recorded using the A-Max, Min function, and measurements are frozen on the display using the hold function. The illuminated, 6,000-count resolution, 3 1/2-digit digital display is easy to read in low light. The metre is rated for Category III up to 600 volts and Category IV up to 300 volts in terms of safety.
Number 2. It includes a built-in 9-volt battery with a battery life of about 300 hours without a backlight and a sleep mode to extend battery life. The metre is 6.58 by 3.35 by 1.81 inches in size (H x W x D) and weighs 13 ounces (404 g) (H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) For easy storage, this metre comes with a holster with built-in probe holders. Multimeters are electrical test metres that can measure current, voltage, resistance, capacitance, and continuity, among other parameters of an electrical circuit. Multimeters, which come in portable and benchtop forms, diagnose electrical issues in electrical equipment, wiring, and power supply. To connect the metre to a circuit or device, a variety of probes, clamps, and leads can be employed.
Number 3. Multimeters can show data in both analogue and digital formats. The electrical parameters to be measured, the expected range of results, and the desired level of protection against transient voltage are all factors that influence metre selection.
Number 4. Low-voltage test equipment safety ratings are based on International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards. (IEC 61010) defines four types of overvoltage installations. A metre with a category IV rating will, on average, provide more protection against transient voltages than one with a lower category rating. Fluke Corporation is a company that makes electrical testing equipment and software for industrial and commercial use.
Number 5. The AC, DC, resistance, and capacitance of a digital multimeter are all measured, as well as continuity and diode tests.
Number 6. When measuring linear or nonlinear loads, where the current or voltage has a sinusoidal or non-sinusoidal waveform, a true RMS metre offers accurate measurements.
Number 7. Checks for voltage and continuity at the same time.
Number 8. User freedom is provided via manual and auto-ranging modes.
Number 9. Category III to 600 Volts and Category IV to 300 Volts are the safety ratings.
