The NES has an enduring and influential legacy in the world of video games, having had pioneering and iconic franchises such as Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda, Mega Man, Metroid, and so many others debut on its platform. Its controller design, overall build quality, and vast library of games make it one of the best and most nostalgic consoles ever. There were over 700 licensed games for the NES, of which a little more than 350 were released in North America.
