Swāmī Aparājitānanda specifies verses 59-60 as Warning Verses for sādhakas simplifying why mastery over senses is essential.
Verse 60: Need for practicing "Dama" and being discriminative and choosy with respect to the world is explained most gently and softly quoting Shānti Mantra.
Verse 59: A beautiful tip to be "Nirāhāra" with its implications, what is "rasa-varja" and importance of meditation are most interestingly simplified.
Verse 61: It is made very clear how such a Sthitapragñya seeker attached to the highest joy can meditate upon Lord.
Verses 62 and 63: Famous verses. What happens to a person living a licentious life (philosophy of ladder of fall) is explained step by step in a convincingly clear way with a simple but effective example of child with mobile.
Verses 64 and 65: Ladder of rise of a sādhaka is described in an enchantingly beautiful way by Swāmījī. "Vidheyātmā" is described in detail. Importance of "manah-prasādama" is emphasized. Benefits of Prasāda-state are clarified upon by showing direct proportion between peace and knowledge.
Verse 66: Swāmījī gives intensive explanations of who is a Yukta, what is true freedom (Quote by Gurudev), when is peace at pieces, what is true sukham and what is its price.
Verse 67: As an example of above verse, how and by whom Pragñyā is looted is clearly explained by metaphor of boat and anchor. How samskāra is created by mind and how intellect misunderstands distorted truth is revealed.
Here Swāmījī quotes the most interesting statement, viz. best commentary on Gītā is Gītā only (example: Lord Krishna's statements).
Verse 68: Summary of Sthitapragñya and Muni by Lord Krishna is explained by Swāmījī as if unfolding each (of many aspects) petal of the lotus of Sthitapragñya state. Famous Subhāshita on "āshā" is also quoted and explained.
Verse 69: Swāmījī explains how "rogī", "bhogī", "yogī" and owl - all are awake at night, but differently.
Verse 70: Mahātmās and ocean simile is expanded upon by Swāmījī with utmost logical beauty adding that the verse is all about glory of abidance in Self. "Kāma-kāmī" is defined.
Verse 71: Swāmījī describes the verse as a practical verse to attain peace and happiness. Four term-pointers are very well explained and distinction between "kāma" and "spruhā" is drawn with emphasis on minimising needs.
Verse 72 sings about glory of Self Knowledge and states what is "Brāhmī sthiti" and irs uniqueness. Swāmījī beautifully explains how liberation gained once is forever.
To sum up, Swāmījī says that Chapter 2 is all about Self Knowledge and Man of Self Knowledge. It contains Brahmavidyā and Yogashāstra; Jñāna Yoga and Karma Yoga.
It is indeed a grand treat for both the mind and intellect to listen to Swāmījī's talks on Sānkhya Yoga.
