Atlantic Stingrays are a very common species of stingray living in the Atlantic Ocean as well as the Gulf of Mexico. They are often a danger to swimmers on the beach, and when people step on them, they are often stung. While stingrays don't "attack" people, since they regularly live along beaches, making them a hazard, and a danger to people. While stingrays are very docile, and don't want to sting people, it happens quite often, and a way to avoid being stung it to shuffle your feet through the sand instead of stepping. And if you are ever stung, put wherever you were stung in very hot water, to relieve the pain. And if you ever see a stingray, just keep a safe distance and leave it be, they are very docile.
