User Defined Fields are exactly that - a field you can add to the SAP Database associated with a standard SAP Table of your choice. These fields become part of the permanent infrastructure of the system. You can use them to enhance master data records. So for example, have a place to record additional information on your customers for which a field does not already exist. You can use these fields to record transaction details, so for example, add business-specific details you may need on a Purchase Order.
User Defined Fields can be created in a number of formats - free text, dates, currencies, drop down lists. You can determine if placement will be part of the header table or the row details. We'll discuss what the best practice is for your situation - come to this session with some ideas of where you would like an additional field to appear in SAP Business One. How to design and determine the most appropriate place. How to potentially make them mandatory as part of your business process of users to complete.
