If you've seen ZAMination's Zombie Girl music video, then you know it's a Minecraft-style animation that's not only hilarious and immersive, it's got an irresistibly catchy song. Here are some things you might not know about this video that's a face-eating good time.

NUMBER 9: The Song
The song is actually called "Macabre Rotting Girl", written as a collaboration between Kathy-chan and Sim Gretina. The original video features the MMD animation by Puccagarukiss that ZAMination took and Minecraftified.
NUMBER 8: Puccagarukiss
Some of the shots that made the final cut in this video were straight out of Puccagarukiss's original animations. It was mostly a matter of picking the ones that best fit the new Minecraft environment.
NUMBER 7: It Takes a Village
While the video was inspired by one person's vision, it took a team of people to make it a reality. This includes animation, lighting, rendering, compositing, dynamics, and rigging. The executive producer was Zach Belanger.
NUMBER 6: Not a Headshot
When the boyfriend character finally does the unthinkable and shoots his undead lady love, the bullet can clearly be seen going through her neck or chest area - but definitely not her head. And as we all know from common zombie lore, you need a clean headshot to kill a zombie. Therefore, it makes perfect sense that she gets back up moments later to devour his flesh.
NUMBER 5: Foreign Captions
The video has been professionally captioned in Portuguese, Indonesian, German, and Russian, so the hilarity of Kathy-chan's lyrics can now reach a much broader audience.
NUMBER 4: Behind the Scenes
ZAMination put out their own behind-the-scenes video that uses a split-screen to show the different steps in the animating and rendering process. Whether you're an amateur or aspiring animator, or if you just love seeing how videos like this come together, it's super interesting to watch.
NUMBER 3: Kathy-chan Approves
In case you're wondering what the original artist thinks of all this, just scroll down to the comments section. One of the top comments is Kathy-chan herself, and judging by the heart emojis and the way she used all caps when she told ZAMination they should be proud, it definitely seems like she's a fan.
NUMBER 2: The Famous Steve?
There is some speculation that the boyfriend character in the video is supposed to be Steve, who Minecraft fans know as the default Micro Mob avatar in the game. While some feel certain that this must be their beloved Steve, the creators have given no confirmation, so the debate rages on.
NUMBER 1: Fingers
Many hardcore Minecraft aficionados were quick to voice their concerns about certain appendages seen on the characters in this video. Apparently, no Minecraft character is supposed to have fingers - ever. In several shots, both the boyfriend and girlfriend can be seen clearly with fully articulating fingers, revealing themselves as total freaks of nature to Minecraft purists. To be fair on the animators, it's hard to depict holding a gun and pulling the trigger without any digits.
