Makini Schools was founded in 1978 and follows the CBC and 8.4.4 Kenyan national curriculum - the hallmark of the schools’ success - as well as the Cambridge curriculum, launched in 2020.
Makini has 5 campuses in Kenya. The two campuses in Nairobi county host 6 schools from pre-primary to high school and follow the Cambridge and national curriculum. The 3 campuses in Kisumu county cater for pre-primary and primary school, follow the national curriculum and offer boarding facilities for upper primary learners.
Collectively, Makini is responsible for the education of more than 4,000 learners. The schools are operated and managed by the JSE-listed ADvTECH Group, Africa’s leading private education provider comprising 25 brands with more than 100 schools and universities in South Africa and the rest of Africa.
Our aim is to provide high quality education that is accessible to more children across Kenya and the region.
