In this short talk I explain the tactics and race plan that my coach Allan Davis I used to win my Age Group Classification and take 3rd Overall at the UCI Granfondo World Series Race in Casablanca in February 2020. I joined a small breakaway early in the race, and we managed to stay away from the chase group for more than 100 kilometres.
I discuss five aspects:
1. Know your competitors.
2. Have a plan.
3. Be prepared - train for the hardest part of the race.
4. Know your limits
5. Know your goal - in my case, to win the Masters Classification
