Hey Guys! Welcome and this video, I am going to talk about the environmental consequences of war and, how does war impact the environment whether on people or the ecosystem.

Humans are now the most developed animals on the world thanks to the process of evolution. Evolution aims to make it possible for animals to become better adapted to their surroundings. However, war and armed conflict has long been a quiet killer of the environment.

The general health of the Earth's environment has greatly declined as a result of modern human warfare. The environmental effects of conflict are frequently severe and pervasive, ranging from environmental contamination and forest devastation to resource theft and management system failure.

There are several ways that conflict damages the environment, including the use of weaponry, the destruction of buildings and oil fields, fires, military transport activities, and chemical spraying. Pollution affects the water, soil, and air. Any battlefield's locations turn into ruins. Bombs devastate life, tanks and other military vehicles harm ecosystems, battleships contaminate the seas, chemical and biological warfare threatens to wipe out all life, and contemporary weapons unintentionally harm the environment.

However, the modern military tactics have a much bigger negative impact on the environment. Ecosystems and the environment are under increasing stress as a result of the transition from chemical to nuclear weapons in combat. The greatest worry is that human war will have destroyed so much of the Earth, its people, and its natural resources that there won't be anything left for humans to live on. The only real defence against armed conflict for the environment is peace.
