PRODAC - How to check pH with Prodactest pH

TEST FOR MEASURING THE pH OF WATER, IN FRESHWATER, MARINE AND PONDS AQUARIUMS.

OPTIMAL VALUES
The optimal pH value are:
- between 6.8 and 7.0 for fresh water fish;
- between 8.1 and 8.4 for marine fish

ATTENTION: Even a small deviation from the indicated ideal values can affect the survival of fish, as there is a big difference between two pH units.

In freshwater aquariums, a pH value lower than 5.5 is extremely dangerous for all fish, even for species of fish originating in acid waters.

HOW TO ADJUST pH ?
- TOO LOW VALUE: if lower, it is necessary to raise it to a safe level using a specific product such as pH+ MUTAPHI M from PRODAC.

- TOO HIGH VALUE: if it is higher, it must be lowered using a specific product such as pH - MUTAPHI D.

We recommend to check the water every 2 weeks

WHAT THE TEST PACKAGE CONTAINS
The test contains 12 ml of solution suitable for 130 tests.

INFORMATION ON WHAT pH MEANS
pH stands for hydrogenionic concentration and means "weight of hydrogen ions".
If there are many acids and few basic substances in the water, we have ACID water.
If, on the other hand, we have more basic substances we have an ALKALINE water.

PARAMETERS
A pH value between 0 and 6.9 indicates ACIDITY
A pH value between 7.1 and 14 indicates ALCALINITY.
The pH value 7 indicates NEUTRAL water.
