As many of you know, I have had Lambertones Crema Humbuckers in my Mexican tele for while - but recently installed some new pots. Thanks to Ed Lynch at EJ Lynch guitars for this wiring tip. This new wiring has really opened up Cremas. They are even more open and responsive. The secret sauce for my particular set up is: 1 Meg Volume Pot, No Load 500K tone pot, .223uF capacitor. This set up allows for almost no attritional resistance in the wiring but maintains voluem and tone capabilities if I need it. A similar solution is just to wire a push/pull bypass or blow out switch. So far, I am VERY happy with the tone from this set up. The top end is SOOO open... it was already bright but now with some of my helix patches the guitar just soars into another zone.
