Regional Development Minister Kristy McBain says the prime minister’s recent appointment of Matt Kean puts “politics aside”.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has appointed former New South Wales treasurer Matt Kean as the Chair of the Climate Change Authority.
“I think what it does is try to put politics aside,” Ms McBain told Sky News Australia.
“We should be working together, bipartisan approach to climate change and deal with the energy transition that’s in front of us.”
