Chole Pulao Recipe | Chickpea Rice Recipe |
Ingredients:-
Overnight soaked Chickpeas
2 Bay leaves
Cinnamon stick
3-4 cloves
One big sliced onion
two sliced green chillies
finely diced ginger
2 Dried Red Chillies
Cumin Seeds
1 tablespoon Ghee
Rice
Fresh Green Coriander
Salt
Turmeric
Dried Fenugreek(Kasoori Methi)
Lemon juice
Method:-
Boil overnight soaked Chickpeas(Chole) in a pressure cooker by adding salt, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks and cloves to it.
Once Boiled, Heat a Pan or Pressure cooker and add ghee to it.
Once ghee is hot add cumin seeds,Red Chillies, Green chillies, ginger and Slliced Onion.
Once Onion turn lightly brown add Boiled Chickpeas , salt, turmeric ,dried fenugreek(kasoori Methi) and cook it for 5 minutes. Then add properly washed rice , water ,few lemon drops and pressure cook it or If you are cooking it in a pan, cook with covered lid on low flame.
Once cooked add fresh green coriander and enjoy it with Ghee, Curd or Rice.
