For its "Air Bridge AC and Power Supply Replacement Project," which stood out among 588 airports and 19 green-energy solutions, Taoyuan International Airport received a Green Airports Recognition award (Platinum Award 🏆) in 2019. This project has been one of the key reasons why the airport has been able to reduce carbon emissions and save energy significantly ✨!
By replacing diesel-powered AC and power supply vehicles with air bridge AC and power equipment, carbon emissions could be reduced by more than 30,000 tonnes per year, which is equivalent to the carbon adsorption capacity of 82 Daan Parks 🌳. The airport was also able to reduce consumption of ⇩ fuel by 10,203 tonnes, ⇩ nitrogen oxide by 82.4 tonnes, and ⇩ hydrocarbons by 5.3 tonnes. The replacement project is still ongoing, and Taoyuan International Airport is moving step by step towards low-carbon operations.
