Even though it's only December, I wanted to provide some 2022 Career goal inspiration for those of you who are already thinking about New Years resolutions and career planning for 2022. Hopefully, this short life of professional and career goals helps you decide on a 2022 career goal!
In a nutshell, here are the goals I've thought of:
1. Obtain a certification, degree or continuing education (informal like a book or podcast)
2. Improve your work/life balance - I know the pandemic has a lot of people burnout, so consider letting 2022 be a reset year for you!
3. Change your job - self-explanatory, but perhaps you want a new role or to work with a new company!
4. Be more organized - this is more a habit, but still super important. I also love this goal because it's directly within your control to accomplish and pays dividends in your career.
5. Learn a new technology or software skill. If you've only ever used excel for project management, maybe 2022 is the year you try Asana or Microsoft project. You could also try to become a pivot wizard in excel or learn about Agile project management and use a kanban board!
6. Get a mentor/network - With everyone working from home the past few years, it might be a nice time to reach back out to your network!
7. Update your resume/linkedin
