Elicit: The AI Research Assistant is a tool that uses language models to help you automate research workflows, like parts of literature review. Elicit can find relevant papers without perfect keyword matches, summarize takeaways from the paper specific to your question, and extract key information from the papers.
==================
We may be saying goodbye to Google Scholar very soon. A new search engine for academic research powered by AI just got my attention, Elicit Beta.
It's like (ChatGPT + Google Scholar) x 10. This service is completely free!
Here's how Elicit will revolutionize academic literature searches:
Using Google Scholar, you can search for something and get a list of results based on matching keywords. So that's it. Elicit matches more than just keywords when you search.
Elicit
1. Selects the most relevant papers out of thousands of papers
2. Finds the concept in each of the selected papers
3. Removes duplicate concepts
4. Sorts those concepts by relevance
And generates a table for you that contains the following:
1. Concepts related to your search
2. Summaries of papers in which those concepts were found
3. Links to those papers
All this in a matter of seconds.
If you want to read a paper, simply click on it. You don't have to download it. Elicit will open it for you in a new window.
Now you can read the paper; if you find anything difficult, you can ask Elicit to explain it.
