(19 May 2020) DEBI MAZAR'S CHEF HUSBAND BAKES BREAD DAILY: 'I'M GONNA GAIN 400 POUNDS ON THIS QUARANTINE'
Actor Debi Mazar, her husband and their two teenage daughters have been spending their time indoors cooking and baking in their New York home.
Mazar tested positive for COVID-19 but recovered, after two weeks of feeling very sick. With strict stay-at-home orders still in place, the family has been getting creative with meals.
They've been find ways of reusing their greens from the night before.
"Turning it into a frittata or making like a wonderful beef stew with carrots and different things," explained Mazar. "And then the next day adding a red sauce and making like an incredible pasta sauce."
Mazar's husband, Tuscan-born chef Gabriele Corcos, has been baking Tuscan bread daily - a mixed blessing, Mazar admits.
"We always have fresh bread in the house," Mazar smiles, adding, "I'm gonna gain like 400 pounds on this quarantine."
Mazar said some days her husband gets sick of cooking for the family, but they try to mark the start of each weekend with something a little different.
"Like I had bought frozen fish and we never buy frozen fish. And we're making fish tacos tonight, which the kids love. It's Friday. So, you know, we try to have like momentous days where it's, Friday, OK, let's kind of celebrate and have some fun and make it fun."
