An intermediate level guitar lesson with information for both right and left-handed players!
This was a difficult one to do! Here is my first lesson with an "intermediate" difficulty level, meaning that the song contains a number of tricky chords which appear regularly. In this case, the F chord and a variation on it turn up many times.
The acoustic guitar part on Go Your Own Way definitely sounds like a 12-string, and it was played with a capo. I've transcribed it with the capo on fret 5 which sounds decent to me, although live performances of the song do appear to show a guitarist playing with a capo on fret 8 - I may do a lesson using this at some point.
I didn't include all of the little chord embellishments on screen as it would have looked a ridiculous mess (and taken a huge amount of time to create). I've left it mostly for you to work on yourself. During the verses the C major chord flits between C and Csus2, the G major alternates between G and Gsus4 and the F major goes between F and Fsus2. You can see shapes for these chords in the diagrams and just listen to the song if you want to get the timings correct (it's very easy to hear).
