Dialogue(s): parmenides Chapters: hyp1 Sections: 138b-eSynopsisPierre goes over with us a section of the 1st hypothesis of Plato's dialogue, Parmenides, in which we explore Plato's different and very particular, specialized, and necessary use of the word, 'different' (heteron).(Images of tonight's diagrams are in the Download Options Menu on this page, as JPEGs.)Technical IssuesI was missing my XLR cables tonight, so while Pierre is still in your left ear, I had to record the right ear with a separate, un-synced device (my Zoom H2n you see on the stand), and later patch that in with Audacity to the right channel. So you'll hear slight echoes as a result, between left and right ear, but I tried to make it as minimal as possible.Also, there is a jump-cut at about 1:06:42 where I patched in a separate video clip where Pierre was about to start a dream exploration with Bradley (later tonight) but gave us one last question to ponder on 'difference'.
