A female Bengal tiger and a male Siberian tiger in Mexico have given birth to a trio of mixed cubs in Southern Mexico. The Bengal tiger, a 12-year old named Yaki, and a Siberian tiger an 8-year old named Yagul, had two females and a male. Veternarian Felipe Ramires ASanchez says the cubs are in great health: Two females and a male were born healthy. They are in an optimal state of health, and every necessary precaution is given by the mother, their food, and to their cleanliness. Their health is impeccable."The mother is a Bengal tiger, and the father is a Siberian. It was a fortuitous mating, as the couple must first accept each other so that they can successfully reproduce. But it doesn't matter that they are of different kinds, the mating was successful."The Siberian Tiger is native to the Russian Far East, but has been threatened by heavy poaching. The population of Siberian tigers in the world is now thought to be less than 400. The Jaguar zoo is where the cubs for now call home, and is home to 70 different species of mammals including zebras, bears, giraffes and camels
