The North Olmsted Police Department is investigating after a mother and her three-year-old son were stabbed at the Giant Eagle on Lorain Road.
According to a release from police, officers were called to the store at approximately 3 p.m. after "multiple 911 calls" about a possible stabbing in the parking lot. Police arrived at the scene and took a suspect, 32-year-old Bionca Ellis, into custody.
The two stabbing victims were given first aid by police at the scene, then transported to UH St. John Medical Center, where they are "undergoing treatment at this time," according to North Olmsted Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones. There is no word yet about their conditions.
North Olmsted police say their investigation is ongoing.
