The story behind a man that dreamed of tasting beer grown in Brighton.
Early September Matt from Brighton Hops Project invited Brighton Beer Blog down to pick hops in the heart of Brighton.
This excellent yield of Fuggles and Phoenix hops are the culmination of 2 years growing and 3 years planning.
We joined Matt at the Preston Manor site to find out more, specifically, when and where we can taste a beer made from hops grown in urban Brighton.

The project aims to promote rhizomatic creative ideas around activities such as local food production and direct connections between growing and utilising within a locality.
Brighton Hops was crowd funded to provide around 40 plant rhizomes and start up materials which were distributed among 11 different growing 'farm' sites in various landscapes. Some urban, suburban others unurban.
