"Eco-neighbourhoods: smart grids to smart cities" workshop organised by Bouygues and Embix on
15 October 2015.
The smart city is a rapidly evolving concept, spanning many different issues at the intersection of various areas of specialisation. Energy is a key component, but the smart, sustainable and desirable city goes further than that. It calls for a more comprehensive vision, the involvement of multidisciplinary players and a cooperative approach in tandem with local players and users. This workshop aims to highlight the practical and operational implementation of projects to develop smart cities that are both resilient and pleasant to live in. Planners, sociologists and local authorities will add their views to contributions from experts on technical and economic aspects in order to give a 360° vision of the challenges and implications of the smart city, and hence an understanding of future transformations in that area.
Moderator: J.-M. MOLINA (Consultant MI2020)
