Me.a Dal Nakam is very famous here in Northeast (India) mostly we among the Garos. In rural areas where there is no regular market, people usually go to the riverside where there is a lots of bamboo tree's to cut those bamboo shoots for their daily meals.
If you want to make this dish I recommend you to use fermented Dry fish because those fermented ones adds more good taste but if you does not have fermented one its okay you can make this dish with non-fermented one.

5.lime or soda
