We will say it: We don't think full power IR lasers are worth it for most people. What we care about most is a high quality IR illuminator.

If you have a full power unit, awesome! If you don't, don't sweat it. You can do work with whatever setup you have access to.

Our favorite budget entry laser is the TLR VIR ii. Is it the best? Nope. But it gets you a white light, IR flood and IR laser for around $400. Check them out.
